The Best of Paris Fashion Week SS26, IMO

IMO (In My Opinion), a recurring series where I share my personal insights and perspectives in regards to fashion.

Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 26 marked a new era for a handful of designers, as they unveiled their first collections as newly appointed creative directors for their respective houses.

Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Balenciaga, Dior, Loewe, Mugler— to name a few. Or to name all of them. It’s hard to keep track as the game of creative director musical chairs continues to be played amongst fashion’s biggest contenders.

The excitement and vibrancy in Paris surrounding celebrity presence, spectator watch parties (by way of trendsetter @ly.as on Instagram), and anticipation of what was to come (as this season featured a record high of CD debuts) was palpable from New York. Despite any early speculations of what was to be delivered this season, by names such as Matthieu Blazy (for Chanel), Jonathan Anderson (for Dior), or Pierpaolo Piccioli (for Balenciaga), the conclusion of Fashion Month for SS26 overall left spectators from around the world with a sense of renewed energy and reassurance that fashion just might actually be… back.

Below are my favorite looks from Paris Fashion Week, Spring Summer 26.
