VFFOTW — Vintage Fashion Finds of The Week. A reoccurring series that repurposes my addiction to vintage shopping for the greater good. After all — if I’m not buying them, it’s only right they find a safe, loving home. Each edit features ready-to-wear, shoes, and accessories sourced from a curation of authenticated resale platforms.
The vintage-reseller doom scroll may be a vice best left in 2025. That said, it all depends on how you use what you find. I’ll argue that my hours spent on TheRealReal are strictly for study and enrichment. For those of us invested in fashion and its history, encountering everything from recent-season pieces to true vintage offers a living archive—one that helps decode the archetypes of fashion houses and the creative directors behind them. For some, that process is riveting; for others, the goal is simply to add another handbag to their collection, with little concern for the who, what, when, where, or why. Regardless of intent, the vintage clothing market is larger than ever, fueling a never-ending, cyclical ecosystem—one that will outlive us all.
Not to mention, shopping vintage has it’s advantages in regards to sustainability and overall quality of the garment…
